Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It has 71 chapters across India, 418 student branches, and more than 90,000 members. Usha Mittal Institute of Technology being a part of C.S.I. Mumbai Chapter organises various events and workshops throughout the year under the guidance of CSI Mumbai Chapter
ACM Chapter
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) founded in 1947, based in New York, USA, is the oldest body of computer professionals in the world. The Computer Science, Engineering and Management students of SNDT Women’s University are part of the chapter since 1999. The SNDT-ACM Chapter is the first ACM Students Chapter in Mumbai. It aims to develop leadership qualities and management skills in addition to enhancing technical competence in the members. It has been the endeavor of the Chapter to bring innovation in its functioning so that it can reach out to broader spectrum of students and keep the chapter active.
IEEE Chapter
IEEE is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE UMIT conducts a wide range of events aimed at providing a platform for its student members to interactively widen their network while developing their technical aptitude and inspire a sense of scientific inquisitiveness among them.

GeeksforGeeks UMIT Student Chapter is an ever growing community for students interested in Computer Science and other core technical competencies. It focuses on sharing knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and learn building effective and optimized solutions for real world problems.

Google Developer Student Clubs of Usha Mittal Institute Of Technology, powered by Google Developers, is a learning community that aims to inspire intelligent minds in the field of technology. It is open to any student, ranging from amateur developers who are just starting to advanced developers to experts. It is a community for students to connect and collaborate as they solve real-world problems.

E-Cell Council
Elite, the entrepreneurship cell of UMIT, is a non-technical council which provides great opportunities for students to develop and enhance their entrepreneurial and management skills through various ingenious programs. The activities conducted by the E-cell council help, both the organizing as well as the participating students, gain confidence and improve their organizational, management, entrepreneurial, marketing, creative and leadership skills.
Sports Council
Usha Mittal Institute of Technology has a vibrant sports council which encourage students to believe in themselves by providing them with a platform for participating in various Intra and Inter-Collegiate indoor and outdoor games. The Sports Council of Usha Mittal Institute Of Technology organized an Collegiate Sports Festival ‘’XUBERANCE”. Our aim is to Encourage women in field of Sports.
NSS Chapter
The NSS Unit of UMIT constantly seeks young volunteers to help channelize their energies and capabilities towards nation-building activities by organizing them into volunteers groups. National Service Scheme (NSS) has a vital role to play in the personality development of the Students and upliftment of society. The NSS unit of Usha Mittal Institute of Technology is a force of committed students marching forward to make the world a better place to live in.
UA^2 Chapter
UMIT Alumnae Association, is formed in order to foster new and strong bonds between the Alumnae, students and the teachers. It offers student-Alumnae contact, networking services and various events and reunions.
The unit, as a whole, hopes to bring about a better change with the amalgamation of technology.
The Writers' Club
The writers' club of UMIT is a literature club for the students. It initiated with the thought of adding a fun element to the student's life while fostering their creativity. The club has an integral part in creating the first-ever annual magazine for UMIT. The writers' club encourages the students to stimulate their ideas into ravishing articles. The club accepts all captivating pieces, including technical and non-technical writings.
